For my master`s research, I studied the species diversity pattern of non-volant small mammals on Gunung Jerai, a small and isolated mountain in north Peninsular Malaysia. I was also partly involved in the research grant entitled The Role of Fragmented Habitat in the Conservation of Small Vertebrate Faunas: Their Implications in Species and Ecosystem Conservation Project leads by Assoc. Prof. Dr Shahrul Anuar Mohd Sah.

As a PhD student in Texas Tech University, I will be studying The Reproductive Phenology of Insectivorous Bats in Malaysia under supervision of Dr Tigga Kingston. My research focuses on determining the relationship between insect abundance, bat reproductive activity and local climate variables in the rainforest in Malaysia. At the end of the study, I hope to understand the potential impact of climate variables on demographic processes in this flying mammal from Malaysia.
